• Three Brighton players and one Bournemouth player charged
• Four will appear at Lewes crown court in August

Three Brighton and Hove Albion footballers and a Bournemouth AFC player are to face trial at crown court over sexual assault and voyeurism charges.

Lewis Dunk, 20, Anton Rodgers, 19, George Barker, 20, and their former team-mate Steve Cook, 21, who signed for Bournemouth in January, appeared at Brighton magistrates court on Friday for the committal hearing. They are charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of voyeurism each and indicated not guilty pleas at a previous hearing.

The prosecution claims the alleged offences took place at the Jury's Inn hotel in Brighton on 17 July last year. All four men were arrested by Sussex police officers in January.

Rodgers and Barker, both of Highview Avenue North, Brighton, Dunk, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton, and Cook, of Perth Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, were released on bail and will next appear at Lewes crown court on 3 August. Read More
