Gareth Southgate, the BBC pundit and former footballer, has waded in with some wise words of advice for his England colleagues: step away from the TV ads. Southgate infamously appeared in a self-mocking Pizza Hut advert following his penalty howler in Euro 1996. The nation was not amused. The Daily Star reports that Southgate has advised Ashley Cole and Ashley Young, whose fluffed spot kicks against Italy saw England knocked out of Euro 2012, not to follow in his footsteps.
