York City warmed up for their Blue Square Bet Premier play-off final with Luton Town by lifting the FA Trophy with a 2-0 victory against Newport County at Wembley.
Matty Blair, who scored the goal to ensure the Minstermen will be returning to the national stadium next Saturday, opened the scoring 20 minutes into the second half, claiming his 19th goal of the season after latching on to a through-ball from Ashley Chambers.
The man of the match, Lanre Oyebanjo, added a second goal in the 72nd minute after a fine cut-back from Chambers, to complete the victory.
York will now hope to repeat the feat against Luton and return to the Football League after an eight-year absence.
