• Fan tackled on pitch during 3-1 win over Republic of Ireland
• Smoke from Croatia fans' fireworks delayed Poznan match

Croatia has been charged by Uefa after a fan invaded the pitch while others set off fireworks and threw objects during the Euro 2012 Group C match against the Republic of Ireland.

Croatia is the fourth country to be charged by Uefa, European football's governing body, for alleged improper conduct by fans during the opening round of European Championship matches in Poland and Ukraine. Uefa is also investigating cases against Russia, Germany and Portugal.

A Croatia fan was tackled by stewards after trying to reach the country's coach, Slaven Bilic, following Croatia's 3-1 win against the Irish on Sunday in Poznan.

After Croatia led 2-1, the game was delayed while smoke from fireworks was cleared at one end of the stadium packed with Croatia fans.

Uefa says its disciplinary panel will review the case on Friday. Croatia is likely to pay a financial penalty. Read More
