• Arsenal midfielder has not trained due to achilles problem
• Petr Cech also confident he will be fit for Group A decider

Tomas Rosicky did not train on Friday evening but the Czech Republic midfielder is optimistic that he will be fit for his side's final group game in Wroclaw as they look to beat Poland for the first time in 55 years. The coach, Michael Bilek, also said he was optimistic Petr Cech would be available but a final decision on both players will not be made until Saturday.

Poland need to win to go through to the quarter-finals, while a draw may be sufficient for the Czech Republic and Bilek admitted that he has not yet decided whether or not he will tell his players the score coming in from Warsaw, where Greece face Russia insisted that the Czechs mindset has to be to seek out a victory, at least to start with.

Rosicky picked up an achilles injury during his side's 2-1 victory over Greece and did not train. "I decided not to train," said the Arsenal midfielder. "We will wait until Saturday morning and make a decision. The injury is getting better by itself so we will have to see about treatment just before the game but there is still time. I have enough experience that I don't think it matters that I have not trained. I feel positive about it."

Bilek added: "I believe that Tomas will play but if he does not we have alternatives. And I think Petr Cech will play as well. He has started training this evening but we don't yet know if he will play tomorrow. We won't know that until after the session."

There is uncertainty in the Poland goal too with Wojciech Szczesny, having served his ban for his sending-off against Greece, available, but not sure of reclaiming his place from his impressive former understudy, Przemyslaw Tyton who saved the penalty conceded by Szczesny in that opening draw with Greece.

"I would like Szcznesy to play," Rosicky smiled, "and I would like to score against him too - that will be nice when we are at Arsenal next season. He is a great goalkeeper and I think that he can be at Arsenal for fifteen years and get even better. Polish goalkeepers are very good, there are many of them playing abroad, and whoever plays they will not have any problem." Read More
