This week's round-up also features beach football brilliance, a Mark Boucher tribute and some epic Tour crashes

1) The press room was the only place where maillot jaune Bradley Wiggins went all potty-mouthed at this year's Tour de France. Here he can be seen effing and jeffing at a TV cameraman who almost decapitated him, finishing up his heroic volley of abuse by detonating the c-bomb. While Bradley's new chum escaped with just his pride wounded, this cameraman at a Russian football match wasn't so lucky, although he did provide the assembled players with some amusement.

2) If the Tour de France is on, you can rest assured we're going to milk it for clips. Here's Magnus Burghardt going over the handlebars after having his front wheel buckled by the world's hardest Labrador, while Tashkent terror Djamolidine Abdujaparov comes a cropper in more traditional, albeit horrific style. Johnny Hoogerland made headlines just a year ago after being knocked off his bike and into a barbed wire fence. A barbed wire fence? He didn't know he was born, considering his compatriot Wim van Est wasn't content with looking into the abyss, but decided to cycle into it as well way back in 1951. Escapes don't get much more miraculous.

3) Well who'd a thunk it? Not content with being peerless upon being given a football and a yard of grass, the footballers of Spain are preposterously good at beach football too.

4) Hats quite literally off for what must be the shortest six in the history of cricket, while this 132-metre effort by Shahid Afridi off Andrew Symonds at The Waca must be one of the longest. Or perhaps the Waca's just really small ...

5) The horrific eye injury sustained by Mark Boucher during South Africa's tour match at Somerset brought to end the international career of one of the greatest players ever to willingly stand in the way of a 100mph delivery. Here is Boucher with a typically inventive piece of work to run out Sri Lanka's Marvan Atapattu. And here he is scoring a magnificent 108 as night watchman against England in Durban in 1999. And 122 not out against West Indies in Cape Town in 2004. Oh, and the boy could sledge too.

6) The Open starts on Thursday. You can't watch this too many times. Royal Lytham & St Annes has been a fine host for the competition over the years, as these clips show. The last time The Open was played at this course it was won by David Duval. Here is his speech following victory. And here is the genius of Seve Ballesteros winning at Royal Lythan & St Annes in 1979. And again in 1988.

Our favourites from last week's blog

1) More beach football brilliance.

2) Wimbledon line judge gets hit in the face by a 118mph serve. It shouldn't be funny, but it is.

3) Gooner gets slightly upset by Robin van Persie's refusal to sign a new contract. We're guessing he might sleep in that bed alone.

4) Nothing to see here. But it's well worth a listen.

5) Fox 2's Charlie Leduff golfs the length of Detroit. As you do.

6) Mansour Bahrami - tennis's great entertainer.
