Average of 12.69 million viewers tune in to ITV1's live coverage, making it the most-watched match of the contest so far
England's 1-0 over Ukraine on Tuesday evening attracted a five-minute peak of more than 18 million viewers on ITV1, making it the most-watched match of Euro 2012 so far.
ITV1's full coverage of England's final group game, which secured them a place in the quarter finals against Italy on Sunday, averaged 12.69 million viewers, a 50.3% share, between 7pm and 10pm. The match had a five-minute peak of 18.64 million. Live coverage from 7.45pm averaged 16.1 million viewers.
The audience eclipsed the 14.1 million live match average (full coverage averaged 10.96 million, with a peak of 16.25 million) who watched England's second group game, the 3-2 win over Sweden, on BBC1 last Friday.
ITV1's coverage of England's first group game, the 1-1 draw with Sweden, averaged 9 million viewers and peaked with 15.3 million.
