Today's wiggle-waggle is more interested in the torch relay

With the poor man's Umbro Cup, Euro 2012, kicking off today you'd have thought there would be no room for transfer tittle-tattle. Well, you'd be wrong because there's no shop window like a European Championships shop window. Apart from a World Cup one. And an Umbro Cup one, obviously. And the ones at Selfridges with loads of colourful tin foil and whizzy lights.

Anyway Bayern Munich's Thomas "Thomas" Müller is sick of watching mass capitulations from the bench and would consider a move. "Everybody knows that not only do I wear the Bayern Munich emblem on my shirt, but Bayern will always be my club. I am therefore not forced to think about leaving," said Muller. It does get more promising, don't worry. "But the situation at the moment does not particularly make me say that I would not listen to offers." The Mirror reckons Internazionale would be willing to pay £25m for the 22-year-old as well as "several Premier League clubs" [read Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Wigan].

Meanwhile Luka Modric will spend Croatia's Euro 2012 mulling over a move to Manchester United, according to the Sun. Seeing as that mulling will involve deciding whether £125,000 a week and Champions League football is a good thing or not Modric should have made his mind up shortly before we finish typing this sentence. United will pay £25m for the midfielder and have also signed Chilean teenage striker Angelo Henríquez for £3m.

"The manager's wife does not like the north west and spends as much time as possible back in Italy," whispered the source. "She has not been able to get on board with the weather or the lifestyle, and has made this known to Mancini. His wife's dislike of Manchester is a genuine issue which isn't going to go away and could determine his long-term future."

Newcastle's reputation for signing undervalued players will suffer a blow when they snap up Salomon Kalou. Kalou will run about enthusiastically, score three goals next season and end up joining Stoke on a six-month loan.

Good news for Birmingham fans! Chris Hughton will be replaced very soon! Bad news for Birmingham fans! It's Gary Megson. Oh, and his first job will be to cash a cheque from QPR for £4m in return for the services of Ben Foster.

Bad news for Spurs fans! Gonzalo Higuaín has shunned a move to Spurs and will stay at Real Madrid! Good news for Spurs fans! They're about to seal a deal for Nottingham Forest's 18-year-old defender Jamaal Lascelles!

And finally, Bolton will don face masks and muskets and hijack Celtic's move for Leicester's Matt Mills. Although in this case they'll also give Leicester £3m, making them the least economical hijackers of all time. Read More
