• Co-owner's support for Blackburn manager under attack
• Venky's aware of poor season ticket sales for Championship

Steve Kean will meet the owners of Blackburn Rovers in India on Tuesday, with Venky's coming under increasing pressure to sack the manager following relegation from the Premier League.

Kean has retained the support of the Blackburn co-owner Anuradha Desai throughout a dreadful 18-month spell in charge that has provoked widespread protests from supporters against his reign and Venky's.

He will discuss his plans for promotion at Venky's headquarters in Pune and request that, despite the expected departure of Junior Hoilett and other key players from Ewood Park, the owners resist offers for the bulk of the squad this summer.

Desai is believed to have faced increased opposition from fellow directors and advisers to her continued support for Kean since relegation was confirmed last week. She is also conscious of poor season ticket sales for the Championship campaign as supporters intensify their protests against the manager. Read More
