• Birmingham City man to assist Ray Clemence with England
• Thirty-eight-year-old worked with Joe Hart at St Andrew's

Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Birmingham City's goalkeeping coach, Dave Watson, will work alongside Ray Clemence during England's Euro 2012 campaign.

Watson, who represented England's Under-21s and made 178 league appearances for Barnsley from 1998 to 2001, has been given permission by the Blues to link up with the senior team.

The 38-year-old worked closely with Joe Hart during the England No1's spell on loan at St Andrew's during the 2009-10 season.

Hodgson told the FA's website: "Dave is highly rated throughout the game and is well respected by the goalkeepers who have worked with him, importantly Joe Hart.

"He has worked with a number of current English goalkeepers and has experience of working with England development teams so we know he will fit in well with the squad. I'm personally delighted to have him as part of the England staff at the tournament.

"I'd like to thank everyone at Birmingham City Football Club for agreeing to Dave working at the Euros." Read More
