• Games do not include Great Britain men v Uruguay
• Buying tickets will not affect applications for non-football events
London 2012 will put 1.4 million tickets for the Olympic football tournament on sale from 11am on Monday. The sales window will stay open until 11pm on Sunday 6 May. The other one million Olympic tickets will go on sale in mid-May.
Tickets will be available for all but five matches: Great Britain men v Uruguay, the men's quarter-final and semi-final at Wembley, and the men's and women's final at Wembley.
Organisers say they are confident that the Ticketmaster system will avoid the problem that caused sales to be suspended in January. The system should be able to cope with selling up to 250,000 tickets an hour.
Locog also confirmed that buying a football ticket during this sale will not affect eligibility for future ticket sales – those who have been unsuccessful in buying any tickets so far will still get the first chance when the one million non-football tickets go on sale, even if they buy a football ticket on Monday.
Tickets start at £20 for adults, with special prices available for people younger than 16 and older than 60, at many matches.
The Locog commercial director, Chris Townsend, said: "Now that the draw has taken place, we are delighted to put the remaining tickets on sale to see some of the world's most exciting young footballers in the Olympic Games.
"This is a great opportunity for people across the UK to be part of the Games, and see great matches at great prices." Read More
