• Uefa will consider extending automatic one-match ban
• Four Chelsea players suspended for Champions League final

Uefa's disciplinary panel will decide whether to extend the Chelsea captain John Terry's punishment after his red card for violent conduct against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final.

Terry receives a mandatory one-match ban and will miss the final on 19 May in Munich, but Uefa rules allow its disciplinary body to extend the sanction, which would apply next season in European matches. The panel is scheduled to meet on 31 May.

Four Chelsea players are suspended for the final. Branislav Ivanovic, Raul Meireles and Ramires each received one-match bans for their third bookings in the competition.

The Champions League does not have the same yellow-card amnesty after the quarter-final stage which Uefa applies in the European Championship.

Fifa introduced an amnesty rule two years ago to ensure that players shown a yellow card in the World Cup semi-finals do not miss the final.

Uefa said on Wednesday that a similar rule could be proposed by its Club Competitions Committee, and later approved by the executive committee chaired by Uefa's President Michel Platini.
